Second Hope trustee reveals ‘miracle cure’ thanks to revolutionary drug

Second Hope trustee Melanie Kennedy was featured on the Belfast Live website talking about the ‘amazing’ news that a revolutionary drug treatment has left her cancer-free for the first time in years.

She told the website: “I’m so happy and delighted and shocked but I knew this could happen. The scan today showed that there is no evidence of the tumour in my liver. This was the cancer that I was told was terminal, the cancer that I was told could not be treated here in Northern Ireland.

“I know no one can ever say what happens in the future but right now I’m singing from the rooftops.”
